I am the co-founder and CEO of Galvanick, an industrial control systems cybersecurity startup based in Los Angeles, California.
From 2017 - 2021 I was the Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Cyber on the National Security Council. In this role, I was responsible for coordinating all U.S. Government policy and execution on matters related to cybersecurity, cyber operations, telecommunications, crypto/cryptocurrency, and supply chains.
Prior to serving in the White House, I was a first-10 employee at a YCombinator-backed cybersecurity startup, 2015 - 2017.
Prior to that, I spent ~8 years on active duty as an Officer in the U.S. Navy, with two operational deployments to Iraq. During that time I also served as an advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations on emerging asymmetric opportunities, writing the white paper that turned into the Defense Innovation Unit. In my spare time, I earned an M.A. from Georgetown University, and started small, American-made luxury sock company called Penance Hall, which, while profitable, I closed down some time ago.
